A Great Week at The Open in the SwingZone

Golfing Partners lead coach Ian Bailey had a great week working in the SwingZone for the PGA and the R&A by joining a team of very talented coaches. 23 PGA Coaches gave free 15 minute lessons to the public attending The Open Championship at Royal Portrush GC with over 2700 lessons given throughout the week.

“It’s been another hugely successful year,” said Jonathan Wright, The PGA’s Golf Development Executive. “Once again we’ve been fully booked every day and the feedback we’ve had from the public has been incredible.”

“This is one of the best team of coaches we’ve had working at the R&A Swingzone. There has been a real camaraderie about the group and they’ve all gone home having made some fantastic memories at Royal Portush.”

The team are already looking forward to next years SwingZone being held at The Open Championship, Royal St Georges GC, Kent with tickets selling fast!

I was a marshal at the Open and had a lesson with you in the SwingZone on Friday @ 17.00hrs.

You relaxed my grip pressure.

Played the Monday and struggled, felt the club was loose. Then played Tuesday and had 39points to win a charity day, best round for a long time.
